PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER is based on specially formulated acrylic co-polymer. It can be used in interior only as priming coat for both new & old surfaces of plaster before application of finish coat.
SURFACE PREPARATION
1. Plaster :
New masonry surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. It is recommended to allow 28 days
as the curing time for new masonary surfaces.
2. Cleaning :
Ensure the surface is completely free from all dirt, loosely held plaster, powdery residue, oil grease or any other contamination. Any previous growth of fungus, algae or moss needs to be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and cleaning with water.
3. Filling the Cracks, Holes & Dents :
For filling cracks upto 3mm, holes and dents use WALMARK Cement Putty or white cement and fine sand in the ratio 1:3
For Interior surfaces or substrates that are subjected to continuous seepage or
dampness, kindly get the repairs done before the application.
4. Mixing Ratio :
Dilute one litre of WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER with 800-1000 ml of clean potable water. Do not add any stainer/colorant to the WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER. Don’t over dilute WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER
5. Coverage :
Varies according to the porosity and texture of the surface. Coverage for smooth surface with no suction:
Approx 14-16 m2. per lit for one coats.
6. Available Pack Sizes :
The pack sizes available for WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER are 20 ltr., 10 ltr., 4 ltr. and 1 ltr.

Recoat period is quoted for 25°C and 50% Relative Humidity; these may vary under different conditions.

HANDLING & STORAGE :
Keep containers airtight during handling and storage to avoid loss of material. Store WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER in a cool dry place and also protect it from extreme climatic conditions during storage, in transit and at site.
SAFETY MEASURES :
Kindly refer to the MSDS for WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER which gives detailed information on safety measures while handling the paint, which is available on request.
Store the container with the lid tightly closed in an upright position, in a cool, dry place.
Keep out of reach of children and away from eatables.
May be harmful if swallowed. In case of ingestion seek immediate medical attention. In case of skin contact immediately wash skin with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Wear eye protection during application. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Do not breathe vapour or spray. It is recommended to wear suitable nose pad during sanding and surface preparation to avoid dust inhalation.
Do not pour leftover paint down the drain or in water courses.
In the event of spills, contain spillage using sand or earth.
POST PAINTING CARE :
Apply an emulsion coat over WALMARK INTERIOR PRIMER.
